Program Requirements
Admission Requirements
Individuals who hold a bachelor's degree with honors or a postgraduate diploma in library and information science from a recognized college or university will be considered for admission to the MSLMIS program. The applicant's undergraduate grade point average (GPA) score and work experience will be considered in the admission process. A personal interview will be encouraged and may be required. Upon acceptance, students will receive a copy of their planned academic program. Students are encouraged to meet periodically with the program director to discuss academic progress, career placement and special needs.
A total of 56-credit hours of graduate course work are required for the MSLMIS degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM
Master of Science in Library Management and Information Science (MSLMIS) is a 56¬credit 20-months (5-semester) program. These credits include Prerequisite Courses (21 credits), required Courses (18 credits), and a Research/Thesis Paper (9 credits) under faculty supervision and Internship (6 credits) in any reputed organization.
