Royal University of Dhaka (RUD) understands the need for an entirely new outlook to university education. Our education philosophy is not simply to produce more business graduate or more IT specialists or more accountants. Education must be brought to a higher place to groom visionary leaders and entrepreneurs who can contribute and value add to society.

The Government has more recently encouraged private initiatives particularly in higher education. Beginning in early 1990s, the number of private universities have now already raised above 82. This is significant development in forging public–private partnership in providing what was traditionally considered a public good.
RUD has been setup at this critical juncture with commitment to providing quality education to the students. Therefore you should be receptive, interactive and if necessary reactive.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Royal University of Dhaka which has been rendering its best possible service in producing skilled human resources since its inception in 2003. As evolving day-by-day, Royal University of Dhaka has come to enjoy an image as one of the reputed private universities in Bangladesh. We are committed to providing quality education in a truly academic environment to prepare the young generation with the virtues of head and heart so as to effectively meet the challenges of the fast changing world. This university offers up to date courses on highly demanding subjects those are compatible to the modern world requirements. This university’s approach to teaching and learning is founded on the belief that our students – the promising young generation need to be critical thinkers, knowledge seekers and problem solvers. With a view to achieving this goal, RUD has been able to recruit a team of well qualified faculty members coming from the best institutions of home and abroad.

Royal University of Dhaka is an institution for higher education where students will get adequate opportunities to develop their intellectual capabilities. To make the students well-equipped for the future challenges and to bring out their latent potentials, the University organizes extracurricular activities like Debate, Cultural programs, games & sports, Seminars, Workshops, Study tours etc. Philanthropic activities like blood donation, vaccination programs, etc are also held every year in the university campuses. Our efforts are not only to impart excellent modern quality education but also to develop their moral virtues and high emotional intelligence, which are core ingredients for success.

We also take pride in our highly judicious Board of Trustees whose visionary initiatives have been able to put a marked impression by now. We hope that the young inspiring students, under the guidance of learned faculty members and dedicated administration, would be able lead this University to the pinnacle of glory.
